1. Who we are and the scope of this policy

Glido is responsible for the information practices described in this policy. This policy covers visitors to the Glido marketing website only.

It does not yet govern the Glido learning product, including future accounts, schoolwork uploads, learning records, recommendations, mobile applications, or WhatsApp services. We will provide a separate notice describing those services before collecting that information.

2. Information we handle

We limit collection to information reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve this website.

• Website interactions: page views and exits, approximate time spent on a page, maximum scroll progress, waitlist button clicks, FAQs opened, language changes, and the identifiers of sections viewed.
• Website performance: First Contentful Paint (FCP), Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) measurements.
• Context attached to analytics events: website area, selected language, and an optional utm_source campaign value when it is present in the landing-page URL.
• Technical request information: IP address, browser and device information, referring page, request timestamps, and similar information that may be processed by our hosting and analytics providers.
• Waitlist information: your email address, selected language, and the version of the form you submitted.
• Information you voluntarily send to us in correspondence, if you contact us about privacy or another enquiry.

3. Waitlist form

If you submit the waitlist form, we use your email address to record your interest in Glido and send you relevant early-access or launch updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which processes the submission and forwards it to us. Do not enter information other than the requested email address.

4. Why we handle information

We use the information described above to operate and secure the website, understand aggregate interest in Glido, evaluate which content is useful, measure campaign performance, troubleshoot technical problems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use website analytics to make decisions about individual students, build advertising profiles, or follow visitors across unrelated websites.

5. Cookieless analytics

We use PostHog in cookieless mode. The configuration does not store an analytics identifier in cookies, local storage, or session storage. General interaction autocapture, detailed Web Vitals attribution, session recording, surveys, exception capture, and person profiles are disabled.

We automatically record page exits, approximate time spent, scroll progress, and limited Web Vitals measurements to evaluate content use and website performance.

PostHog processes limited request information to produce a privacy-preserving server-side identifier for aggregate measurement. Our configuration also respects supported browser Do Not Track signals. Query parameters are removed from the page URL sent with analytics events; only the optional utm_source value is recorded separately for campaign attribution.

6. Service providers and transfers outside Hong Kong

We use service providers to process waitlist submissions, host the website, provide aggregate analytics, and deliver web fonts. These providers may process information outside Hong Kong, including in the European Union or the United States, depending on the service configuration and infrastructure used.

We select providers for a defined operational purpose and expect them to protect information in accordance with their contractual and legal obligations. Their own privacy notices provide further details.

7. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including website measurement, security, dispute handling, and legal compliance. We periodically review retained information and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer required.

Retention periods maintained by our service providers may vary according to the service configuration, backup cycles, security requirements, and applicable law.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can enable a supported Do Not Track signal or use browser privacy controls and content-blocking tools. Some controls may prevent analytics requests entirely, but should not affect the main content of this website.

Subject to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and other applicable law, you may request access to or correction of personal data we hold about you. You may also ask us to delete information that is no longer required, or raise a question or complaint about our practices. We may need to verify your identity and may charge a fee where permitted for a formal data-access request.

9. Children and student information

This marketing website is directed to parents, guardians, and other adults interested in Glido. It does not collect schoolwork or student learning records. Children should not send personal information through this website without the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Before the Glido learning product launches, we will publish specific information about how student data is collected, used, secured, retained, and controlled by families.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information handled. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we also minimize the information collected through this marketing website.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
